I can't help it you like your "barbecue" to taste like a Goodyear.

  4. I'm having steaks, roast potatoes, and peas and carrots. Those are for the limey. It's salad for me.

I don't think there's a name for what I had, I just made it up as I went. But since I PM'd someone the recipe, I'll post it here and you can come up with a name.

---You cook one chicken breast half and cut it into tiny pieces.
---Boil about three lady's handfuls of egg noodles.
---Mix one can of cheese and broccoli soup with 1/2 can milk.

Mix all that together and put into a casserole dish and throw it in the oven at 250 degrees for 10 minutes.

While it's cooking, toast two slices of bread until browned but not burned. In the mean time, melt a tablespoon or two of butter.

When the bread is toasted, put both slices into a ziploc bag and beat it until it's just crumbs, then pour the butter and a 1/2 teaspoon of garlic in and squish it and mix it all up.

Sprinkle the crumb mixture on top of the casserole and cook for five minutes. Then top it off with some fresh parm and enjoy.

It sounds like more work than it really is.

    That sounds good, KG.

As for me, I don't know. Maybe Chinese (yet again).

Unless heyabbott invites me over :D

Went with the fried chicken. Soaked it in buttermilk and hot sauce all day. Flour-ed it all up and fried it in the skillet like grandma did.

Green beans and homemade mac and cheese on the side.

Sweet tea to wash it all down, and fresh peanuts for dessert.

Fresh as in still green? I've had those before, but not since I was little.

Oh, yeah. I live in south Alabama, the peanut capital of south Alabama. Seriously, there are probably 500 acres of peanuts within two miles of my house. PM me your address and I'll send you some with the dirt still on them.

    Lunch/Supper combination.

About 2:00 CST, we went to a birthday cookout.

    Started with a Cheddarwurst;

Then, Father-in-law makes his world famous stuffed cheeseburgers, about as big around as a frisbee, stuffed with bacon, cheddar cheese, and jalapenos. Probably a 1 1/2 pound cheeseburger.

    Had 2.
