    KG,

I'm going to keep eating from the garden. The food will invigorate me.

Tonight: healthy feeding from the bushes.

I just came up with this one, tonight, using whatever I found in the fridge. It really needs a name, so feel free.

    For now, we'll call it:

    TBF's alfredo-tetrazini-primavera-stuff

1 pound (or so) turkey breast filets (seasoned with salt and pepper)
1/3 cup sundried tomatoes in oil (1T oil reserved)
    1/3-ish cup broccoli florets
    1/2 large shallot, sliced
4 or 5 asparagus sticks, cut into 2-3 inch pieces
    3 garlic cloves, chopped
    1/2-ish cup Vodka
    1.5 cup half and half
    1/4-ish cup margarine
4 servings of pasta (I used linguine)
    Salt and pepper

Season the turkey and brown it using the oil from the tomatoes. Remove it and set aside (cut into strips later). Add some of the margarine and the shallots. Deglaze the pan with half the vodka.

Add the rest of the vegetables, saving the garlic. Continue to cook, occasionally deglazing the pan with the vodka, for about six or eight minutes.

Add the garlic, cream, turkey and the rest of the margarine (if there's any left). Bring to boil, reduce and simmer until reduced by half and thickened.

Cook linguine, add it to coat the pasta with the sauce.

    Eat.

My retired firefighter dad would be proud, even more so if I added a pack of cigarettes to the mix. :D

I'm officially on the non-smoking wagon again, btw. A Christmas present to myself.

Meatball sub that actually turned out to be a chicken breast sub after they called back to tell me there was no more lasagna. That's when I ordered a meatball sub ...
