Had shrimp scampi (from Sam's) and thin spaghetti with sun-dried tomatoes.

Fried chicken, mashed potatoes (Dad #1's signature recipe) and broccoli. Appetizer was toasted artisan bread.

    An orgasm of the palette.

Lunch (chili dog and chili cheese fries) at Ben's Chili Bowl in DC.

    Homemade steak fajitas for dinner.

    Not a bad day.

Hmm. Need some ideas. Hungry but not sure for what. Maybe some baked mac and cheese.

    Leftover roast.

For the weekend party, a 10-pound Boston butt, four slabs of ribs and two smoked chickens. Got a busy Saturday morning lined up.

Turkey burger, baked potato and a glass of Domaine Carneros sparkling. Odd combo but it works. Went well with the Spike Lee doubleheader of "Jungle Fever" and "Summer of Sam."
