Hamburger Helper is a lifesaver (although you can get similar results for much cheaper with a pound of hamburger, a box of generic mac and cheese and a half can of peas).
Tonight it was Pumpkin Soupn savory and spicy with heavy cream and chicken stock for a base.

An Atlantic salmon fillet marinated in lemon juice with some spices on top. Plus, a salad with Ranch dressing on the side.

Did you actually marinade the fish in lemon juice or just give it a once-over right before you ate it? Or is even that considered "marinating" something? When I think marinade, I think about submerging it and letting it sit in the fridge for a while, and I can't imagine doing that with straight lemon juice would be very good.

    Just curious.

Last night after covering girls basketball it was a grilled cheese, turkey and ham sandwich on Pumpernickel and tomato soup. Drink of choice was milk.

We broke a rule and went to a chain restaurant, last night. We had a leftover gift card from last Christmas to Chili's.

It wasn't terrible. In fact, I had a pretty darn tasty margarita.

We had the two meals for 20 bucks deal. Mrs. tbf had some mini tacos that weren't very good, and I had a half a slab of ribs that were ... meh ... OK, I guess. The waitress did a great job, but it took nearly 45 minutes to get our food.

I cooked a delicious dinner of perfectly seasoned and cooked steak in the grill pan, baked potatoes and broccoli and we watched "Gran Torino." Awesome.
