Last night's dinner: Tuna casserole. Don't laugh ... for some reason, after hundreds of Friday-during-Lent servings of this, I still like it.

Flavoring it with some pepper and parmesan cheese helps, too.

    Thanks. I really appreciate that.

My mom fed me a steady diet of Hamburger/Tuna Helper as a child/teen. I vowed to never do that to my family. It's a little more expensive and takes a little more time to have good dinners. We turn off the TV and make an event out of it, which makes the expense and effort worth it.

That's what it's all about, T_B_F. Good food and quality family time. Best pairing in the world. :)

Canned chicken mixed with blue cheese dressing and some honey mustard to make a kick-ass chicken salad sammich, topped with baby swiss and spinach...side of day-old, warmed-up generic mac and white cheese...washed down with a Coke Zero.

Can't say what's for supper tonight, as it's not one of my nights to make it. Am having the leftover shrimp, mushroom and snow pea stir fry I made last night for lunch, however.

Have to hit the road to cover a high school hoops game tonight, but am giddy because there's a Ruby Tuesday's along the way. My favorite salad bar ever. Always nice and fresh, and the best blue cheese dressing in the world (okay, only slight hyperbole).

Gonna attack that salad bar like the Germans attacked Pearl Harbor.

We're ordering Thai! Can't wait for my fresh roll and green curry!
