Spike, lightly toast the sloppy joe buns in the oven before serving. That might change your wife's mind on the soggy bread concept.

Or, throw a slice of cheese between the meat and bread.

it wasn't dinner but made french toast for breakfast.

bought day old sourdough, sliced it thick. mixed sugar, eggs, vanilla and milk. let the bread soak in it, while I sliced strawberries and dumped what was left of frozen blueberries into a bowl and added some sugar.

fried the soaked bread in butter and served with the berries and a little bit of real maple syrup.

she was pleased. so was I

Did almost the exact same thing yesterday. I used a French loaf and made a little whipped cream. Topped it off with some confectioner's sugar.

College throwback night: Mac & cheese and a hamburger steak (Hot dogs don't do it for me).

I approached the idea. She shook her head and looked like a 4-year-old in protest of a nap.
    Ain't gunna happen.

Making sweet and sour chicken for the first time tonight. But I'm actually using poultry, not cat.

If you have three cats, I feel sorry for the first one you named.
