What's the last movie that made you cry or tear up?

i have little doubt that it stands the test of time. i watch it once a year with the little shockeys and my dad. we all share good cries over it. a lovely film, imo.

Just trying to keep up with all the pricks.

As for movie crying, 'The Bridge to Terabithia' right now.

I heard some good things about Glory Road. Watched it: I won't be saying good things about it. I'm a complete sucker for sports movies, but then one just did NOTHING for me at all. Another move I can say that about, and I know many people love it, is Remember the Titans. I love Denzel, too, but just with the singing and the stupid thing they did coming out to the field and how everything went from so much animosity to being fine and dandy seemingly over night -- it just didn't work for me.

Not to threadjack though, so I'll say Miracle is one of the more underrated movies. I feel like the fact that it was a Disney sports movie it got lumped in with everything else but it really was a cut above, thanks to the fact that the sports scenes were so well done, they got real hockey players who came off much more authentic, they stayed true to the original story, and most notably for me was Russell's performance.

Let me throw in for Rudy and Field of Dreams. Simmons had a line a few years ago: There are two types of people in the world, those that like FOD and those who don't have a heart. Can't say I disagree.

You had me at "listen up"

Anyhoo, I saw Field of Dreams. Didn't see what the fuss was, frankly. Thought Sandlot was the better baseball movie featuring James Earl Jones.

Seconded. But only one part: Where they show Junior, when he's in his pre-teen or early teen years, sitting on the hood of his dad's car, just staring a hole in the back of his head hoping for some glint of attention. Then Senior turns around, says something to him, maybe ruffles his hair...and Junior smiles like he just won $100 million. Just seeing his devotion to his father was awesome.

Also: The Notebook. And Up Close and Personal. LOVE that movie.

What was your relationship with your father? Honest question, not leading, just curious.

And I love the Sandlot. When I was young I liked it a lot but I actually think it's better now going back and watching it. Pure nostalgia for childhood with your buddies playing baseball and having fun in the summer.

Doesn't really make me tear up, but I just caught the end of A Few Good Men on TNT. Good ending when the black marine (Harold?) who hasn't liked Cruise all along stops and salutes him after the trial is over.
