Worst officiated game I've ever seen was Illinois at Indiana in men's basketball in 2009 with Ted Valentine on the crew. Still shocked Knight didn't punch Valentine that night.

    Tuck rule.

I don't care if that is the correct literal interpretation. Fact is, it had never been called that way in the prior history of the NFL. That play had always been a fumble, up until that night.

You're right. Odd thing about that one is the way it got completely glossed over at the time. Neither the announcers nor anybody mentioned it during the broadcast. It wasn't until some time later you started hearing people point out the fact that "you know, Magic actually fouled the shit out Isiah there..."

Just one of many examples of the Lakers getting oddly favorable treatment over the years. For example has there ever been more bizarrely officiated playoff game than this:

The Sacramento Kings got jobbed right out of Game 6 of the 2002 Conference Finals.

Jeremy Giambi was safe on Jeter's fucking flip. Eleven years later, can't decide which call was worse: The ump's, or Giambi's judgement to not slide.

Phantom pass interference flag -- thrown by an SEC zebra in the Carrier Dome -- on future Pro Bowler Will Allen of Syracuse against Tennessee in 1998. Kept alive the Vols' drive, which led the game-winning field goal, which led to their BCS championship.

Worst call I've made today? Arguing with an idiot on Twitter for an hour. Idiot claims a player can't gain possession of the ball without completing the catch. Says to have "possession" both feet must be on the ground.

Meaning the "catch" was correct call because Tate got his second hand on the ball before Jennings' feet touched.

    Bullshit.

    That's all.

The Patriots had a similar (to the Raiders') run-in with the tuck rule earlier in that season against the Jets.

Syracuse/Tennessee 2nd half. 1:13:00 point in the video is the play. Allen runs through the fucking receiver. There is NO controversy to this call. Get the fuck over it.

I've often thought they rang the bell too fast to save Apollo at the end of the 15th round. That round seemed awfully short.

Ned Braden should have drawn a whistle for too many men on the ice.

Shouldn't the All-Valley Karate Tournament have made every entrant have paperwork to prove they were above a brown belt?

Instead, they just took the coach's word.
