What's the Wordle?!

Connections is fun but the key things are: 1) recognizing the category with 5 answers and working your way backwards from there: and 2) finding the one word that seems to have nothing to do with the others and figuring out what words go before or after it.

 

I've been training for Connections since I was a little kid.

 

Averages of 4.6 and 4.8 the past 2 days. Increasing the degree of difficulty

 

I tied my longest streak today. 116 and hopefully counting.

 

The actual streak is longer because it reset for some reason, but a nice visual after finishing today

 

I've had mine reset multiple times for no obvious reason in the past few months. Lost a streak of 66 that way.

 

I have a current streak of 62, a max streak of 163, and I am haunted by the two words I got wrong. One I can live with, nanny, because the editor who chose that triple letter bs can go fuck. The other word was rouse and I have no one to blame but myself for that whiff, not least because I guessed house with my second word. Instead of narrowing it down with guesses that included possible letters, I just guessed away even though there were numerous possibilities and didn't get lucky with any of them. BTW, got today's in 6.

 

100% all-time? Nice.

 

Has anyone won all three daily games on Octordle? It's pissing me off.

 

I’ve not gotten it only twice — first time I played when I mixed up what the green and gold letters meant. And then maybe 6 months later on one where I had green for all but the first letter but had 2 guesses to choose from 3 possible words and was unlucky.

Well, if I hadn’t broken my streak last week while on vacation I would have lost it today!!
