Had 4 green letters with my 2nd guess and it took me 6.

 

Same. Yikes. Thought my 237-day streak was a goner.

 

For word puzzle fans - Will Shortz announced today he had a stroke recently. Working to get back doing the Sunday Puzzle. He was clearly impacted, sounded like he aged 10 years - but spoke clearly.

 

Got the first, third and fifth letters with my first guess.

Whiffed on the next five guesses.

My modest streak ended the day before, so no biggie.

 

Same. And there wasn’t a good way to eliminate the choices with one guess. Got it in six and feel happy to have done so

 

5.1 average today.

 

Got it in 6.

 

Took me 5 — per the Bot I had 4 words left with 4 to go.

 

Had the last four letters on my third guess, still sweated out a 5. Total recipe for disaster given what letters were, and were not involved.

 

Got today in four. Yesterday's was the first one I could have legitimately lost in forever, since it was a 50-50 shot on guess six. Even had I not gotten it in four today, there were only two possible answers left, per the bot.
