    If I’m being honest, never. I’ve been plenty pissed off about sports outcomes, the 2004 World Series in particular (fuck off, Jimmy Fallon).

    But a broken heart? Nah, I reserve that for the women who come into — and then go out of — my life.

    Sports mean a lot to me, but an hour after the last Chiefs season ended, I moved on.

    Nah. Mizzou hadn't started their first-round NCAA flopping yet, and I was more of a marginal sports fan then, anyway. I didn't really get into the NFL until my last year or two in college.

    I used to live or die with every play of every team when I was a lot younger.

    I don't do that now for the most part, except when I have personal connections with the teams.

    I moved on about a day after the Bears loss to the Eagles. Maryland lacrosse losing kept me in the dumps for days.
