I think they've criminalized the knowing exposure to other STDs, as well, apart from battery. I remember looking it up for a friend.

There was also, apparently, an email by Lorre or someone high up in the "2 1/2 Men" hierarchy that made reference to Sheen being HIV positive. The theory that the show of debauchery was a reaction to the diagnosis, rather than the cause, seems to be a good one. It always seemed a bit like performance art rather than genuine anyway.

I wonder how he contracted it. He said he didn't use needles.

Perhaps he got it from one the countless porn stars and hookers he consumed. Or receptive anal sex.

Right. And I wonder if, as the new face of the condition, I wonder if he has some moral obligation to give us the lowdown on which risky behaviors he engaged in. I don't want to see another AIDS panic in which people think that regular old sex is likely to strike you dead.

  5. Anyway we could convince Sheen to engage in unprotected, receptive anal sex with the Kardashian clan?
    All of them.

Bree Olsen on Stern ... I feel for her. I believe her. I think Sheen's lying; he didn't disclose his status to partners.
    He's a Narcissistic cock sucker.

Sheen’s home state of California makes it a felony punishable by up to eight years in prison for a person with HIV to have unprotected sex with the intent to infect someone to whom they haven’t disclosed their status. Also, California has a misdemeanor charge carrying up to six months in prison for willfully exposing others to HIV.

    California Penal, Vaughn!

He doesn't owe anyone that explanation, or at least not the public. And if he's as much of a Lothario as it appears, it is entirely possible that he contracted it through vaginal intercourse. The rates for female-to-male transmission are very low, but they're not zero and it sounds like he was indiscriminate. It's also entirely possible - probable even - that he engaged in other risky behaviors, an explanation of which is not owed to the public.

It's possible, but it's really unlikely. Even having sex with an infected person, the odds are like 1 in 10,000 from an encounter. I wonder how many women he has actually been with.

Change of subject: Sheen says that he has had it for four years. But isn't that just when he began exhibiting symptoms and was diagnosed? He could have been infected with it up to 8-10 years before that.

So how'd he get it, homosexual sex or shared needle? You believe Magic was from homosexual sex?

Can't claim total credit. One of the "hints" in the UK article said Hollywood personality with scandalous past. Looked up Heidi Fleiss on the "who is dating who" website and saw Sheen was listed. Clicked that link and all the other hints lined up, though I didn't know if he still qualified as a superstar. I guess they meant superstar womanizer.

People die every day from 1-in-(pick huge number) diseases or accidents. Given the amount of womanizing that goes on in Hollywood without much talk of HIV infection, it's not going too far out on a limb to assume Sheen just got unlucky.
