Who says Greg Oden isn't ready for the NBA?

You can't compare Herschel to Oden. Herschel is the ONLY high school player that I've seen that could've stepped on a football field and play professionally. Oden is not that physically impressive as a freshman. Stanley Roberts, David Robinson come to mind as being better built as freshmen.

 

Please tell me you're kidding about David Robinson. He developed while at the Academy. If Oden had encountered him as a contemporary freshman, he would have had him for lunch.

David was a bit skinny yes. But he developed very quickly as a freshman. Oden is impressive physically no question but he's not Adonis in my opinion.
Look, I'm not a big fan of Oden. I see flaws. I'm not ready to annoit him as the fourth coming or anything like that. Sorry if that bothers you.
