Are there thousands of Bama fans who will be happy about returning to the Independence Bowl?

Thousands will go if that's where Bama winds up, but I don't think they'll be happy about it.

 

Joe Schad on ESPN's College Football Today reported that a presser is scheduled for 6:30pm EST tonight in Fayetteville to address Nutt's future.

I'd love to see Paul Johnson get the job if only to see someone in the SEC running that style of offense in that conference.

Other than forgetting the object of Lucas' fanboy fixation in the Florida mix, he plays all the hits in getting the Piggie Nation all fired up.

 

I think we should give Johnny Blackshirt credit for regurgitating information that was provided in today's Lincoln Journal Star.

 

Would they hold a PC to announce he's leaving? Wouldn't they just send out a press release (at 4:59 p.m. and after everybody had left their offices)?

 

Presser is 6:30 Central actually. I'd be mildly surprised if it's a firing, but I'd be floored if he quit based on what he's said in the last 48 hours. He's basically been using the press to fight for his job.

 

I don't know the answer to that question. All what was said is that a PC will be held and that was it. Then again, we're talking about Arkansas and how they do things out of the ordinary.
