Who will be the coach?

Do you trust a paper that calls its coach "acclaimed?"

With that said, judging by the hoopsters' coaching search results in Fayettenam, Tim Couch will be coaching the Hogs by week's end.

    Suck it!

This might be the funniest coach search I've ever seen.

Here's the story from the Winston-Salem Journal:

Well ... that sounds a little more like it. No, I don't think Grobe is Wake Forest's coach for life, but with this guy it's not all about the money.

I hear ya, Headbutt. I would have missed him, but I get your point. Grobe and the Deacons have been slaughtering my school, and I don't think Ron Wellman would have found better.

Another lesson for all of us...

It's better to be right than to be first.

And anonymous sources aren't always correct.

Funny, though, how more and more reporters are jumping on the "sources" bandwagon. This shit just keeps getting better and better.

Rumor is that Grobe backed out because Arkansas's Board of Trustees said that hiring Gus Mahlzahn to be the OC was a requirement for the gig.

Is the coaching search that embarrassing for the U of A or embarrassing for Arkansas media. A week ago a tv station interrupted its normal programming to announce Tuberville would be the new coach. Now this. What a joke.

Regardless, this doesn't reflect very well on Jeff Long and I'm not so sure he shouldn't start worrying about banners calling for his resignation circling his house. ;D

Arkansas should just hire Malzahn and be done with it. Who cares that he only has two years D-I experience. UA is already a laughingstock (again) because of the coaching search. Hire Gus and let the board handle the heat after two or three years of three-win seasons before Gus gets "up to speed."

It sucks, because we all know what it's like when your bosses start demanding the story when you don't have anything for sure.

Fortunately, my current boss is aggressive but understands when something can't be written (yet).

Les Miles signs deal at LSU. I'm sure Michigan fans will now just say their lawyers will take it court and get it annulled.

The Arkansas search is starting to remind me of the Ole Miss coaching search in 2004.

And Ed Orgeron is, indeed, available.
