Who will be the coach?

Any noise at all in Morgantown about the WVU administration ponying up more cash to keep Rodriguez? Or this time, are they just likely to let him walk?

Hondo, luckily my parents didn't teach me about integrity from Dennis Franchione's book.

I also know it's college sports. The concepts of things like honesty, integrity, and such things are mutually exclusive from anything associated with the NCAA except only in the rarest of exceptions.

Michigan's coming after him now? Imagine what kind of job he could get if his team didn't shit the bed with a chance to play for the national title on the line.

We've got coaches moving all over the map, but God forbid a player ever want to transfer without penalty, though.

If he can't beat Pitt and Dave Mustache-stedt on the final day of the regular season, what makes anyone think he'll even be within three touchdowns of Ohio State on the last Saturday before Thanksgiving?

And Mustard, you see for the coaches it's a business. For the players, it's a part of learning, growing up, and playing for pure love of sport and other such nonsense. CAN'T YOU SEE THE DIFFERENCE!?!?!?!

Especially the ones who had been promised by the likes of Rich Rodriguez or Nick the Prick that they'd be with them for their entire college career.

At some point, schools need to just blow the whistle and start enforcing contracts. Don't agree to buyout clauses unless the coach is just so incredibly wonderful you just have to have him.

If Rodriguez goes to Michigan, do you think that once Tressell retires Rodriguez will then take the Buckeye job, which will be a better job than Michigan? I say that on the basis that Tressell will coach circles around him and go 18-0 against him, and thus Richie would only think that's the case.

Apparently the WVU brass is "bewildered." ::)

I've heard whispers that Rodriguez's trip to Toledo was on one of WVU's planes. If true, damn, that's like driving your Domino's delivery vehicle to Pizza Hut to interview for the head breadstick-cutter's position.

Yeah, but those breadstick jobs don't come open too often. Especially the cheesy-break gigs.
