I hate to open a can of worms ... oh, wait. That's not true.

How much of Rodriguez' flirtation with UM has to do with a perceived step up (and I'm not convinced that it would be a true step up) and how much of it has to do with trying to manipulate the athletic department into completing facility upgrades that he was promised a year ago?

It's good to hear that David Cutcliffe is a good guy, and I'm even more impressed he handled his ridiculous dismissal in Oxford with grace.

He'll need a lot more than luck to beat the Atlantic Coast Conference heavyweights. But Thaddeus Lewis' development will likely show itself quickly next season.

Well, all you hear around Ann Arbor is how ramshackle and second-rate the facilities for football and basketball are, and how the university will just be unable to compete with the true national powers (cough cough OHIOSTATE cough cough) unless dozens of millions of dollars are immediately dumped into them.

Of course, the facilities are palatial (as are virtually all major sports facilities at virtually all BCS conference schools, and for that matter I'm sure they're pretty snazzy at West Virginia as well), but if Jim Tressel is wiping his butt with fine Persian-silk toilet paper out of a platinum-plated dispenser, then by all means, better dump $50 million more into "the facilties" or be "left in the dust."

Is it? I had no idea. Honest. When have I ever had to think about his school? Makes sense though.

Looks like Doc Holliday is the front runner for the WVU job. Great recruiter who has never been a HC.

Dennis Franchione and Larry Coker are apparently SMU's latest targets.

And what the hell is going on at UCLA?

Perhaps it means they are waiting for the NFL season to end.

Will he go into the interview and tell them "I'm your huckleberry"?

    Sorry, couldn't resist.

Dan Guerrero obviously just doesn't give a shit anymore. What happened? Lose Hal Mumme's cell number?
