    With his demeanor, I'd like to think he'd go down fighting if he were innocent, instead of quitting and playing the "hators gonna hate" card.

    Holy fuck, if every first-time poster was given mindless credence like this guy, this board would have about 75,687,143 members.

    Of course, not every first-time poster comes in throwing darts at someone the cool kids are picking on. Shrewd move by the well-established suburban icon.

    Not really, Uncle. Just saying you all don't know if this guy's any more in the know.

    And frankly, in my early '80s Pennsylvania journalistic circles, Conlin was not considered a lightweight at all.

    I thought of that too, though I don't care nearly enough about that show anymore to watch.

    Frankly, it was more interesting years ago when Conlin was on. Like others have said here, he was/is a gasbag, but that made for better TV than the more-polished talking heads now. I was kinda waiting for him to go on a rant and drop over dead with a heart attack like Chris Farley and the Ditka lovers on SNL.
