I've sat back and read many posts here. Many of them are comical because you are too young to know how good this guy was. And the majority of you do not and have never resided in the Delaware Valley to know the full impact of this story.
Many of you are fawning over a newbie, William Penn, who claims to be a laid off 22-year veteran suburban Philly writer who took a shot at me. That's cool. But check this out, not once has he or anyone else pointed out a false statement that I've made about Conlin or this tragic situation.
I'm not part of the youngster cyber clique at SportsJournalists.com. I'm not trying to become a part of it either. I realize that many posters aren't in the business and have found this to be a cool spot to rant and rave. It is what it is.

 

Please stop trying to make the thread about you - and we'll stop making the thread about you, too. Thanks.

My post got deleted so we're going to try it again and hopefully, this will stick. This has never been nor is it about me. It's about a journalist and a tragic situation. One reason for the foolishness and unnecessary name calling here is that people have a problem respecting different opinions.

That's BS. I have not refuted anyone's claims. Furthermore, you are upset because I told you that you were too young to know how good the guy was.
I don't know what you mean by the "us in the Delaware Valley" statement. I will not out myself but there are those along here who know me and my relationship with the Delaware Valley.
