  1. Been over a month since Bill Conlin was accused of being a serial child molester and yet there is no new news about the story. That is strange. Almost as if the news industry just wants to wish the story away.

    What is there to report?

  3. The Jerry Sandusky story didn't fall down a memory hole like this.

    Don't report on reporters?

This gives off the smell of cops not writing tickets on other cops.

    Just saying.

I thought the initial coverage said the statute of limitations had long since passed. No charges, no Conlin in the paper, what's the ongoing story?

The steady drip of coverage has long since stopped.

    HIIIIYOOOOO!

  7. What is the on-going story? Conlin just gets to retire to the beach? Is that the story?

My guess is that readers would like to know what the story is. Does the scumbag walk scott free? No digging? No investigation? No reporting?

Like I said - it smells of reporters not wanting to report on one of their own (even if the guy is a piece of shit). Nothing on a story that was this widely reported when it broke? Tell me that doesn't seem strange.

Wow is this a dumb analogy.

All the initial reports included the info that the statute of limitations had run out. Unless someone comes forward from within the statute of limitations or there is a step forward in any civil case, that would seem to be about it.

The big part of the Penn State story was the cover-up and Paterno's part in it. Nothing like that exists here.

C'mon, if there were any proof Conlin fondled Shaughnessy, it would have come out by now.

  10. How the heck do you know all this? You know exactly what everybody at every news outlet in Philadelphia is working on right now?

Hey, I just know that if a BLOGGER! had done this, they'd be all over it.

  12. Actually surprised that the Big Lead, Deadspin or Sports by Brooks hasn't been more on top of the story.

Slightly surprised by how many and who seems to be defensive about this.

Didn't know that the diddler had so many good friends.
