Nick Saba and Bama deserve each other...a douche bag for a whole state of douchebags.

A thought just occurred to me: Why doesn't Paul Bryant Jr. coach the bleeping team? Seems as if it would please everyone.

Nah, not a big enough name to satisfy Tide fans. They might look at Bill Cowher, but the concern there is that he might not have a good enough resume for that job.

And yet, we don't have all the douchebags... you don't live here....
And who the hell is Nick Saba?

A Baton Rouge talk show host today said he keeps hearing strange stuff from unconnected but credible sources ... Saban's wife was in town yesterday and talking to a real estate agent ... some big-time money people say they'd put together a package to buy out Miles and return Saban to his proper place ... Carr about to retire ... Miles may be in line for that job ... and, of course, the message boards went nuts.

I hope Alabama's search lasts forever, and Saban's name remains atop the wish list ... this is fun, fun, fun.

Under normal circumstances, I'd agree Miles is headed for Michigan if/when Carr retires.
but A) Miles left Michigan, while not burning bridges maybe leaving them a little creaky; and voting for Florida second in the coaches poll didn't help; and B) Carr would really like Mike DeBord to succeed him.

And yeah, the coaching search is fun while on hold, if for no other reason than to watch the stereotypical Alabama fans live up to their obsessive billing...

If this search has taught us anything, Bama has punted a lot...

in the same mold as campbell, I'd put Chuck Martin of Grand Valley. D-2 guy with two national championships in three years. he followed Brian Kelly, who left for Central Michigan, won there and now is at Cincinnati. Martin, like campbell, isn't a big enough name to satisfy the bama fans, and he has no southern drawl.

As opposed to Mike Shula, Mike Price and Dennis Franchione, who all sounded like they were gargling with the Tombigbee River?
