No chance he would work out at Alabama. I covered that guy in Jacksonville and he couldnt handle the media scrutiny there without getting pissy - god knows what he'd do the first time he read anything by Finebaum.

Hopefully, tell him to pound sand up his ass and cut off his access... and stick with it...

Meyer's offense was never going to work in the SEC, either.

  5. I'm guessing Bama thinks its next coach is in the NFL. If they think they're getting Saban, they're on crack.

Is there a NFL coordinator or assistant with Bama ties?

Ummm, has the spread offense totally worked? Including the 38 points in the Ark game, they’ve scored by my count 24 points per game in the conference. The Gators won the SEC with that defense. Their offense is nothing special for 60 minutes, but they’ll make one or two trick plays for a score that make SportsCenter every week and everyone thinks they’re awesome. It’s flashy but I think still unproven for the long haul in the league.

Now, that said, opponents have to be fearing Tebow/Harvin for the next two years. When they get Leak out of that offense, they’ll be so much better.

24 PPG is pretty good Down South, isn't it?

anyone else think it's really fucking bizarre that bama is taking so long. coordinators have already left the nfl to take a college job (the packers guy going to BC...i forget his name) so if they're not waiting for saban or an NFL head guy to get fired, there isn't any way to justify taking so long to get a coach. even if it's a recruiting dead period, recruits need to know there is someone in charge.

Bama's getting ready for a bowl and this is a recruiting dead period so they aren't losing any ground. From that standpoint it doesn't seem that bizarre.
