ESPN keeps saying they're meeting with Saban now. 10 years between 40 and 50 million.

The difference here is that his money from the Dolphins is all guaranteed. Even if the contract offer from Bammer is $40 million over eight years or something obscene like that, it's not all guaranteed money since so much of it is tied into shoe contracts or TV shows or appearances that he can't make if they fire him after a few years.

I hate Saban and I hate Bama, but I hope he turns them down just to make the school continue to look like a bunch of buffoons.

OK, let's presume Saban says no. Then where do they turn?

Who knows if Bill Cowher would be interested, but it's an intriguing thought.

It's one step closer to Wlat.

    No editing necessary:

Edit: An earlier revision has him coaching Troy, with Mike Shula being taken back by Bama.

Hastily written back to having him in charge of the Dolphins when I clicked on the link, although the 2007-present is still up there, vacated.

Mal Moore is in Miami. There are two more potential coaches there right now.

Excellent point uncle, what with Grobe and Petrino being in town as well. You think he talks to Saban tomorrow, then one of the others on Wednesday?

Think Petrino is gonna leave for Bama?

He's had far better job offers, and he's used the leverage to stay at Louavill.
