Why is this board dying?

Perhaps I should have rephrased it so that it wouldn't offend anyone. By outsiders, I mean those who either aren't in a journalism-related business or field of study. I do believe there are quite a few people here who hang around just for laughs to the egg people on into confrontations, kind of sort of what you may have been trying to do with your comment. I can only speculate about your comment but I'd like to think that I'm wrong in that assumption.

 

I don't know about that. That could be a possibility as well as unwelcomed people who are regulars.

 

Also an option. But you didn't include that in your post, did you?

I don't know where you are trying to go with this but there are an infinite number of options I could have chosen. I just selected one. But that's just my opinion. I'm sure you have one that's a lot more interesting than trying to create an argument over what I think. I'd like to read what you have to say about why this board is dying.

Let's stay on topic folks and have a happy people think this subboard is dying but it actually has more traffic than two years ago day.

If old times was setting people up to get into confrontations, or passing insults, or ganging up on a poster who thinks differently, then it would bring a tear to a few eyes. But that's not why the board is dying, IMHO. Look at the posts, especially the last three pages. That may shed some light on why a few think there is a problem.

 

Is there an SJ bylaw that requires an annual "Why isn't the board as good as it used to be?" thread?
