I know we've discussed it before, but who's in the savory camp and who's in the sweet?

On one side of the grocery aisle, chocolate bunnies and pink Peeps and cookies with sparkly sprinkles.

On the other side....kosher mint jelly and gefilte fishballs.

What the hell did my people do to deserve kosher mint jelly and gefilte fishballs?

    Awesome.

Here is another one that came up in conversation the other day. Good Friday commemorates the crucifixion and death of Christ. I was asking why it is Good Friday. Shouldn't it be Bad Friday?

Back in my youthful Catholic days, I was expected to attend a long, grueling "Stations of the Cross" service on Good Friday, wearing uncomfortable "dress" clothes and shoes that hurt, on a day off from school that would have been much better spent on a basketball court. I often asked myself that very question.

Actually, shouldn't it be Good Thursday if the man supposedly rose three days later? Math apparently not their strong suit in the New Testament.

I don't think it was 3 days later. It was "on the third day he rose" which would make the math work.

I KNEW my Catholic education would come in handy. Or, you know, not.
