WHY THE HELL HASN'T MIKE RICE BEEN FIRED YET?

There's no question Rice crossed that line.

I'm curious where the line is.

Is it OK to call them pussies, but is it crossing the line to call them fairies or faggots?

I know justifying it sounds absurd, but I think people would be stunned at some of the things that are said regularly at these practices...

If you've never been around it -- yeah, you'd be shocked at the language directed at players. Shocked. It's crazy. My brother is pretty hard core. He never reached that kind of language that Rice used, but he reached language that certainly got the attention of high school players. Honestly, it's a lot of mind games with coaches/players and getting them to do what you (a coach) want them to do.

I'm really intrigued by the effect that some university presidents being brought down is going to have on college athletics. College presidenting is a cherry gig and these guys are not going to screw around with some asshat coaches bringing them down.

My guess is that college presidents will do what they usually do and add another layer of insulation between themselves and the athletic department with a VP - athletics who oversees the AD.

Truth is, the problems facing the NCAA shouldn't be a surprise. Public schools are struggling with decreasing state funding, which is forcing schools to tap other sources (like TV networks) for cash, increasing the importance that they are in the "right conference," which has led to the scrambling conferences. Throw in the need for school presidents to raise private donations and their myriad other duties and it is kind of amazing any of them have time to deal with the doings of the NCAA.

Hey officer! Mr. Irony Police! (Shaking ass at you, officer)

C'mere Mr. Officer of da law....

Rutgers is outraged by insensitive comments made against its women's basketball players, but Rutgers covers up verbal and physical abuse by its own coach made against its men's basketball players....

    Isn't it IRONIC ?!?

    Don'cha think?!?

Irony Police is off duty, so I'll say it's a double standard more than irony. But if you want to shake your ass at me over any other such questions, I'll be glad to help.

I think that Rutgers tried to keep the lid on this thing until their Big 10 Invite was complete.
They did risk the Rice Story jeopardizing anything.

Ma'am, you can tell me anything you want about anything and I'd be lying to say I am empowered to do anything but agree.

The plot thickens. FBI investigating Murdock for extortion:

The rules are pretty clear on this.

Otter: "They can't do that to our pledges."

Boone: "Only WE can do that to our pledges."

I have not watched SNL since the 90's but this with Melissa McCarthy was hilarious:

How does the FBI have jurisdiction on this? Was the letter sent from out of state?
