Oh, hell no. The UAB Football Foundation is all that stood between us and extinction. We were not even allowed to have one until it was formed after UAT forced the program to close, and that was done outside of channels and without permission.

Make football and wrestling (unless there is a women's wrestling team) exempt from Title IX equality regulations and make everything else equal. I've been saying this for 40 years.

Great chance to cut football scholarships and institute roster limits at the FBS level, which will free up money at the institutional level, spread talent out among all of Division I, and thus help the game grow.

Better to have the program whacked now rather than later. The people in the worst position are probably those who thought they were going to be incoming freshmen in the fall.

Would imagine that DraftKings, Fan Duel, etc., are taking a strong interest in those discussions.

Local big-time college has a person on staff whose title is "Tennis Stringer."

I understand the sadness. I miss baseball so much it makes my heart hurt. But stop banging the high chair about it.

I've seen dudes talking about possible NFL minicamps by June.
I mean, what can you do but smile at that.
There is some humor in this ordeal.
