    Agreed, but going for a cop's gun is a direct attempt to kill him, and probably set off a rage not easily turned off and rationalized in the heat of the moment.

    Will be interesting to see if Browns finger prints turn up anywhere on the gun.
    Clearly he was already amped up after his scuffle with the cigar store attendant.

    I believe Officer Wilson acted recklessly. That said, it's tough for a grand jury or jury to come to a decision where there is one side of the issue that will accept only one outcome.

    A rage, a fear, an adrenaline rush, a sense that this is a seriously dangerous dude who is this officer's responsibility. Once such an encounter passes the "shots fired" threshold, anything but swift surrender would put this in lethal territory.
