Also, lest we forget, Chris Rock produced an documentary about Black hair, Good Hair.

"Prompted by a question from his young daughter, comic Chris Rock sets out to explore the importance of hair in black culture. Rock interviews celebrities such as Ice-T and Raven Symone, and visits hair salons, stylist competitions and even an Indian temple to learn about hair culture."

I’ve watched it a few times, and that has to be the phoniest slap and reaction to slap I’ve ever seen.

Glenn Jacobs - AKA Kane - the former professional wrestler turned mayor of Knox County was on the radio this morning and asked for his perspective.
Yeah, that's what the world needs.

If only Ted Cruz feared his wife as much as Will Smith does.

The Pinketts have yammered endlessly for profit about their family on Red Table podcast.

Just another example in an endless epoch of Hollywood half-wits who say one thing and do another.

Someone on the other thread suggested this is an assault on free speech. Add my law school wife pointed out, this is a battery on free speech. Whether free speech … er Chris Rock … felt fearful of an attack is an open question.

That said, speech is never absolute and limits are always tested and established. If the women in the audience got up and left in support of Jada, that’s as much of a consequence as a slap to the face just not violent and forces the Oscars to adjust the jokes they approve. My guess even though Rock is not pressing charges, lawyers are going to meet and money is going to be exchanged. And next year, we’re going to see this turned into a bit with Rock and Smith.
