Amazingly, the French guy didn't surrender.

They should turn this into an ongoing reality show. Call it "Big Brother: Wimbledon"

First and only time I'll be getting up at 2 a.m. (EDT), or whatever time it is that they resume, to watch tennis. I can't wait.

Great crowd toward the end, too. I'm guessing they filled in once the buzz started spreading. There was a wave circulating during the last changeover, and they were chanting "We want more! We want more!" while the officials were huddling up at the end.

John is one of my all-time favorite athletes that I've covered, just a super, super guy that never imagined he'd develop into a top 20 player.

For a while there he almost looked like he was disappointed when he held, like he was hoping Mahut would just put him out of his misery.

If you're Isner do you even go back to the hotel tonight, or do you just lie down on the massage table and get worked on for the next 12 hours?

It seemed like the only chance of ending it would be because one of them collapsed and made a couple of errors in a row from exhaustion. With a night's rest, how far will they take it tomorrow, when they're at least a little fresher? 96-96?

In theory, they'll have recovered enough legs so there's a least a chance someone will have the energy to break the other. In theory.

My guess is it'll be over quick tomorrow.

I'm already seeing some commenters (not here) use this as a reason to bash the no-tiebreak-in-the-fifth-set rule at Wimbledon (and Australian Open if I remember correctly). I disagree. It's worth having. Having a tiebreak would be like having a shootout in the Stanley Cup finals.

How the fuck do you not let them finish this match tonight?

    Ri-goddamn-diculous.

Best guess is that it will start around 9 a.m. Eastern, that's when it started today (I think)
