I can't believe this is still going. I saw it at lunch when it had reached 38-38. Figured done by now certainly. Must be well over 8 hours now.

There are players waiting to start a match after this one.

    Scoreboards have given out.

    50-49 Isner.

I really hope it goes to day 3. That's be awesome.

They just said this SET would be the longest MATCH in the history of the tournament.

And the French guy *still* hasn't surrendered.

I don't know if the scoreboard is battery powered, solar powered, or if the digits don't go above 47, but it isn't working anymore. It cut off at 47-47.

    50-50.

Can someone explain to me the All-England Club's rationale for not allowing fifth sets to go to tiebreaks? This is absolutely ludicrous - bad for the players, bad for the court, probably going to eff up the schedule at least a little bit. This is an opening round match and while I acknowledge that the odds of this kind of thing ever happening again are about a million to one, there's no reason it ever should have occurred in the first place.

Mahut on precipice of breaking serve. Then he doesn't.

Eh, I like it. Like in last year's final, between Fed and Roddick. Go out and win it the old fashioned way.

I might actually sit down and watch the entire fifth set if it runs on ESPN Classic (or would they make you change channels four times?).

    This sport needs stoppage time.

    Little known Wimbledon rule:
If this reaches 100-100, the winner will be decided with a game of Hungry, Hungry Hippos.
