With gay marriage decided, what will be the next big left-led social change?

Using Mississippi as an example, let's see who they went for in each election:

So, out of the last 12 presidential elections, Mississippi has gone for the following: 10 Republicans, 1 ultra-conservative Democrat who had bolted the party, and 1 liberal Democrat who was from two states over.

This sounds like a much better use of their time, instead of combating racism in a way that might actually help people, the Detroit chapter of the Rev. Al's organization decided to picket a museum, due to its association with Kid Rock, who may or may not be displaying the Confederate Flag at his concerts:

Members of a Detroit civil rights group are calling for Kid Rock to distance himself from the Confederate flag, a symbol the Michigan musician has embraced in the past as part of his love for Southern rock, although it's unclear whether he is still using it as part of his performances.

About a dozen members of the Michigan Chapter of the National Action Network called for Rock to renounce the flag at a protest Monday in front of a Midtown museum where an exhibit bears the country-hip hop-rock superstar's name.

At the demonstration, Williams called Rock "the hometown hero who is a zero with the Confederate flag" and asked museum officials to take his name off the exhibit Rock funded if he doesn't renounce the Confederate flag.

If Rock doesn't take a stand against the flag, they said, the group would call for a boycott of the museum.

Like everything else he has done, Kid Rock's use of the Confederate flag was ripped off from other artists.

If you turn being a Christian into a political platform, you make yourself vulnerable to scrutiny. Many people didn't like it from James Dobson and Ralph Reed, and don't like it now.

For a real-life example of gays being out of the closet but not out of the woods yet:

My son is a waiter at a steak chain. One of the other waiters, Andy, is a guy who is obviously gay. Andy took the order for a table of four and they went to the manager and said they didn't want him waiting on them or near the table.

My son was asked to wait on them. He did. Didn't like it (even though they were super friendly with him). Discussed it with Andy. He said it's not the first time that has happened.

Love to see what those folks would do if they were flying and didn't like the fact that a flight attendant might be gay.
