Yes, of course. I thought I worded it that way.

But, he clearly thinks there is such a subset, and that it's problematic -- at least in terms of getting Dems elected.

You said it's his perception of young, black males. Of course no young, white males are lazy couch potatoes.

His perception of young, white males is that they're "clingy" ...

    Here's what I said:

...President Obama's affectionate term for what he perceives to be the stereotypical, lazy, black guy who sleeps away most of the day, and sits on the couch all of his waking hours.

Maybe I should have said, "a stereotypical, lazy, black guy," instead of, "the stereotypical, lazy, black guy."

But, it's clear that when the President mentions Pookie, he's talking about a (young) African-American. he mentions him to African-American audiences, and urges the audience to get Pookie off of the couch and to the voting booth (or maybe to the Obama care enrollment canter),

President Obama might also think some percentage of young white males are couch potatoes, but if he does, I'm not sure that he's come up with an affectionate nickname to represent them in some sort of "composite character."

Plus, he probably thinks the white couch potato might be some Southern, Confederate Flag waving racist, who would vote against him if he got his ass off of the couch.

    Jefferson & Jackson are out!

Thomas Jefferson and Andrew Jackson are history in Connecticut.

Under pressure from the NAACP, the state Democratic Party will scrub the names of the two presidents from its annual fundraising dinner because of their ties to slavery.

Party leaders voted unanimously Wednesday night in Hartford to rename the Jefferson Jackson Bailey dinner in the aftermath of last month’s fatal shooting of nine worshipers at the historic black church in Charleston, S.C.

The decision is believed to be unprecedented and could prompt Democrats in other states with similarly-named events to follow suit.

“I see it as the right thing to do,” Nick Balletto, the party’s first-year chairman, told Hearst Connecticut Media Wednesday night. “I wasn’t looking to be a trailblazer or set off a trend that’s going to affect the rest of the country. Hopefully, they’ll follow suit when they see it’s the right thing to do.”

If you don't consider African-Americans or Native Americans people, our Founding Fathers, early military heroes and presidents were practically perfect!

Some of them didn't consider women to be people either.

Shows how far we've come. Now, not only are women, blacks and Native Americans people, corporations are now people too!
