Monica McNutt with the takedown. Excellent.

2o or thereabouts. And someone should remind the WWL of it ad nauseam now.

I know what PCLL said, and I don't disagree with it. But McAfee's language choice is a problem.

In a way, what goes around comes around. The WWL was awful for laying off all those people claiming financial issues, then giving McAfee a multiyear deal worth $17M per. Hope the idiots continue to hear about this.

The weird thing about McAfee, nobody seems to quote him or talk about him when he says something profound or correct, or interesting.
I think he's entered into Dan Selio territory, the sports host who would get second chance after second chance before/because he's say something stupid and get fired again and make waves.

We're not in a media world where profound takes get aggregated. When people die is an exception, we had a nice 24 hours of Bill Walton stories before returning to our regularly scheduled crap.

If you had told me that within six weeks of Caitlin Clark joining the Indiana Fever that two of Indianapolis' biggest sports media personalities would make complete horses' asses of themselves, I would have bet everything I own on Dan Dakich being one of them.

At this rate, I expect Dave Calabro or Mark Boyle to show out by the end of the month.

Cameron Brink (0.4) and Angel Reese (0.5) are at least in positive territory on that "win share" category. Clark is minus-0.4. Still got Rookie of the Month, though.

She leads the WNBA in technical fouls too.

Neither SAS nor McAFee are ever intentionally part of my sports media consumption. And they feel like I’m much better off that way.

My buddy and I were talking about the "Dave Calabro Drinking Game" at the 500. If you took a drink every time Dave said something oblivious or "How about that, fans?" you'd be plastered before Back Home Again In Indiana.

Great voice but man, Calabro thinks he's doing street stocks at Speedrome. ("Who thinks Scott Dixon is going to win?") Alan Bestwick is so much more prepared and professional.

I'm not sure I will ever get used to not hearing Tom Carnegie at the track.

Yeah, so soft and delicate....the damsels in distress.

Here's the scary part, imagine if Clark was viewed as more of a sex symbol, similar to way people viewed Sharapova and she was getting hacked like this. It would be all hands on deck.

Honestly, she isn't helping her cause by either whining to the refs (three technicals in eight games) or flopping like she's been hit by a bus.
