I'd like to point out that LeBron went head-to-head with one of the league's dynastic teams in the Finals. And that the only reason the Cavs were even in the Finals was because of LeBron James.

True, but IMHO, Drew Gooden was the cornerstone of that team. He was toughened up by the crowds at Kansas. ::)

You're right. My fault. LeBron was the 10th man off the bench. The offensive genius of Anderson Varejao, along with Gooden, spearheaded the Cavs run.

Oh, for goodness' sake. That's just lame.
I can put a pair of torn Keds, a ill-fitting khakis and a Guns-N-Roses t-shirt on Jessica Alba.
I can put Jimmy Choos, a black Versace minidress and pearls on Katie Couric.
Alba's still going to be hotter.
But that doesn't keep Katie from being better dressed.

If you're arguing against the notion that Steve Nash is the driving force of the Suns, you really need to study this game harder. Not kidding.

    What is lame?

Do you believe Hibbert playing four years in college makes him a better pro than Beasley?

Songbird once argued on this board that Vlade Divac was a better player than Kevin Garnett.

93Devil, you are now in Songbird territory. And that is not good, my man.

Yes, of course, that's exactly what I was saying. :(
Roy Hibbert could play college basketball for 75 years and would never become a better pro than Michael Beasley, because Beasley was born with gifts that Hibbert was not. But to suggest that Hibbert's four years of college have added nothing to his value as a professional prospect is inane.

    How?

By saying that Duncan, Jordan and Shaq are better players so far than Garnett, Kobe and LeBron?

And I do not agree that Kobe, who until he wins one by himself is not at Jordan's or Duncan's level, is not one of the top players to ever play. Top 20, possibly. Top 10, no way. Not yet.

    Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
    I'm done, you win.
I'm going to put on my Big Country jersey as punishment. He played 4 years

Um, problem is the evidence indicates the opposite: that fourth year of college seems to have hurt Hibbert's value, considering that he was rated considerably higher by pro scouts at this time last year than he is now.

But, hey, don't let the actual facts deter you from what you wanna believe.

Kobe won't ever win one by himself. Like Jordan never won one by himself (Pippen), like Shaq never won one by himself (Kobe, Wade), like Duncan never won one by himself (Parker, Ginobili, Big Shot Robert Horry), etc.
