He’s the victim. I’m not sure how it can be interpreted otherwise.

That WaPo story (and headline) ... I’m not a fan. I’m not sure he did anything wrong there (in the discussion with the lady).

Well, other than thinking anyone would want to see a picture of his junk.

Yeah, but that's not how the Washington Post portrayed the story.

They had a story that was embarrassing to a republican congressman, so they went with it.

In retrospect, I think they must now see that they assisted a woman, engaging in revenge porn, in humiliating her former partner.

Now, instead of apologizing for their error, they've pulled a Ragu, and doubled down. They have to portray her as the victim of some kind of extortion at his hands.

    It's really disgusting.

When women are victims, they should absolutely receive the support they deserve. But, this is what happens when we make all women victims by default, combined with the political goal of making republicans look bad.

What is the woman’s crime if Barton is the victim? That Post story indicates that Barton perceived a threat but she wasn’t making any. She shared the pics with other people, but he sent her the pics, so they’re hers to do with as she pleases, right?

Not based on the recent "revenge porn" laws passed.

I don’t know that that’s true. It depends on the state. In a way, you can think of it like a breach of contract.

There doesn’t have to be a crime for him to be a victim, though. She was being an asshole, regardless.

    Alright. I stand corrected.

However, it’s going to be more fun when other women come forward with their own pics sent directly by Joe. I say “when,” not “if,” because we know how these cases go.

Who woulda thunk a woman you meet on Facebook and message your junk to while you’re married would be of less than sterling character? It’s a big shock.

I’m just not sure what the story is here. What is the news peg?
