    Linda Evans actually has a big role in today's "The Big Valley" and she looks absolutely spectacular. It's weird that in the Playboy cover, she doesn't look all that great.

    She was outstanding in both of them but played more of a pre-teen temptress in Beautiful Girls. Her "old soul conversation and the chat she has with Willie at the ice rink are great moments. There's never that kind of moment in The Professional. We never meet her parents in Beautiful Girls so we don't know about that dynamic, but her family in The Professional is one effed-up dynamic. That she's so beyond-her-years in The Professional coming from such an effed-up family is just a bit hard to believe.

    I can see a bit more of a problem suspending disbelief with The Professional, but that is the fault of the script, not the performance.
