The Brits invented the use of "the." As in "Take the M62 to Salford, geeza."

It's been several years, but I found the 405 convenient in taking me everywhere I needed to go ...

.... until I was driving to LAX to fly home, and I had to lock up my rental Pontiac Sunfire to avoid rear-ending a traffic jam. Some dogs can't be kept from barking once.

Stormy Daniels wallered on the bed

A Trump campaign official, granted anonymity to discuss internal strategy, said the former president’s Monday effort to yoke Harris and the Biden administration to market instability and unrest in the Middle East did not amount to a shift in tactics, but was a complement to his other suite of attacks.

Hate it when "suite' is used like this, but all the oh-so-trendy writers think it's cute.

"Tranche" also has emerged as cute in the past year or two. And check out "yoke" in the first sentence.

"Tranche" has been around since the advent of Wikileaks. "Suite" and "yoke" are new ones to me.

Corollary is "If Mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy."
