Just scanned my CD rack and came up with a few gems...

    1) Warrant's "Cherry Pie"
    2) Deana Carter's "Did I shave my legs for this?" I went through a country phase in college. I was experimenting, and I'm not particularly proud of it. Had a Shania Twain CD from the same period that I was able to give to my sister as a Christmas gift.

    And, my worst...
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III soundtrack. On cassette. There's a song on there called "Tarzan Boy" by Baltimora that I love. I think I listened to the rest of it once and thanked my lucky stars Tarzan Boy was the first song on the tape.

Do novelty, non-rock albums count? I've got a tape of the LP the New York Mets cut the day after they clinched the 1969 NL East title. Most of the guys were pretty hung over, and it sounds like it. I've cleared out rooms by putting on the tape. Heck, I think I could clear out a moving car.

In a more legitimate effort, a friend of mine has a CD by a band called The Shaggs. He said I was the only person that could ever listen to more than one song. There is a Web site, www.theshaggsonline.com. Another site is www.shaggs.com.

    Cat Stevens blows goats.

Burl Ives on a bad acid trip.

All my LPs bought the farm after Katrina, but at the time of the big storm, I did have the disco/funk/jazz introductory album by "Brick," with the immortal "Ain't Gonna Hurt Nobody."

That tune was OK, for its time, I guess, but the rest ... Dolemite Goes to Hollywood.

You guys are snobs. Look at the gems that were shat upon on pages four and five!!!

Woke Up with A Monster is EXCELLENT. I wore that puppy out on my Walkman (!!) and in the car in 1994-5. Some really good stuff on there. Sleeping with an angel...ahhh ahhh ahhh ahhh....woke up with a monster! "All I Really Wanna Do" was great power pop and "Tell Me Everything" was a great bitter love song.

And Air Supply Greatest Hits...they made all the stadiums rock!

Dude, it's like you're stabbing me in the heart. Three CLASSICS of the genre. CLASSICS!!! Back for The Attack is a CD I'd take with me to a desert island. It had no ballads! No ballads!!!

Whoa, it's like we're the same person. I bought the tape too thinking the exact same thing...and I was wrong too. Though "Out With the Boyz" was pretty cool on the Headbangers Ball.

Mr. Big rules! Paul Gilbert used a power drill on guitar! He's such a genius that Eddie Van Halen copied him! *wiping nose on my sleeve* And you're my age how can you forget the 1-2 sonic power of "Do Me" and "Poison" in the fall of 1990? Candlebox did suck nard, but "You" was fun to scream along to at Happy Hour in the fall of '93. And Dooley already defended ABBA.

Blasphemy! I can understand Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinking Rich. But Cherry Pie was 35 minutes of great hair metal. I still don't believe that the band had the song Cherry Pie foisted upon it, but Uncle Tom's Cabin and I Saw Red are two outstanding songs. OUTSTANDING!!!

    DAMN YOU ALL!!!!

In related news, I'm having the damndest time finding an album I'm ashamed to own. :D :D :D

I'm not up to speed on pagan ceremonies for cutting off your own cock, but if there is one, I'm pretty sure this post is as close to it as one could get. :D

    LA Guns
    Britny Fox
    Steelheart
Kix - Blow My Fuse (I actually loved these guys when I was in high school about 15 years ago...)

It went from "I'll Make Love to You" to "I want to Piss on You..."
