Worst beers ever (AKA Beer you drank in high school)

Discussion in 'Anything goes' started by Unibomber, Feb 3, 2007.

  1. Harley Davidson "heavy" beer.

    Absolutely terrible.

Didn't see anything on Red Dog. Holy shit, that was/is awful. Natty Light was also the beer of choice in college, and it was like a 45-year-old hooker...it got worse as you went down.

Busch Light is like drinking air. I've never had a beer like that, that had no flavor whatsoever.

Four-and-a-half years ago, we're watching the World Cup final at 5 a.m. We're all drinking mimosas. A friend, who naturally went to the Rochester Inst. of Technology, is drinking Genny Cream Ale, straight out of a pitcher. Never mind second-hand smoke, THAT was dangerous to be near.

I had a Rolling Rock once. Next!

Golden Anniversary, Black Label, St. Pauli Girl, they get voted off. I can tolerate Ballantine. Enjoy Schaefer. Rheingold's pretty good too. Still want to try a Narragansett, since it was, after all, Fenway Park's official beer for decades.

I love PBR. Twelve-pack for $6 is sitting in my fridge. I'm having a Super Bowl party and dare I say I am excited for what lies ahead. And I like the Giants, so who gives a shit!

Wonder if Budweiser can improve the Rock now that it moved production to N.J. Felt bad for the Latrobe folk, but that beer was horrible.

Anyone ever have Sol, the Mexican beer? I got a sampler pack of imports at the grocery store. Nastiest stuff I ever tasted.

I used to buy Icehouse in college because it was obviously cheap and it seemed to have more of a kick than the other cheap beers. I saw a six pack in a convienience store, and for shits and giggles, I bought it. Call it nostaglia or whatever.
I couldn't finish the whole six. It was so nasty.

IMHO, Miller kicks Budweiser's ass but I like Coors better.

Sol is way too bitter for my tastes.

    Stoney's
    Black Label
Jacob's Best -a frat party staple. Eeeeeggh.

I didn't read this thread yet, but I've got to post the coolest cheap beer, if it hasn't already been posted:

    Pilsner Club.

You could get a 12-pack of bottles for like three bucks when I was in high school, and the bottle caps had little puzzles on the underside, so you could get slammed and try to figure those out at the same time. Well worth the investment -- at least back then.

I take it you're not Italian, boots?
My vote goes to either Hudepohl or Ortlieb's

I had this once in Daytona during Bike Week. I think the guys could use it in their bikes if they didn't want to drink it.

King Cobra is shitty beer - or malt liquor - too.

That's easy...Michelob. I'd rather drink Meister Brau over that piss water.

Michelob Ultra is like that --- truly a sex-in-a-canoe kind of beer.

No "love" yet, I've noticed, for PBR. Don't really remember having it, but I do remember it being cheap.

The lean college years led me to drink an obscure swill called J Ruperts and smoke cheap cigarettes called Monarchs. Don't even know if they make either anymore.
