I'm going to guess that's heavy on the blue font, and it's very funny.

This thread must be an occasion to post Michael Caine's immortal comment on his appearance in "Jaws 3."

"I have not seen the film, but by all accounts it is horrible. However, I have seen the house it built, and it is terrific."

    The moral: Work is work.

There was a hologram of him in the new Terminator. So I think we can grandfather him in... :D

His name goes above the title of big-budget films, which alone makes him a big name. Plus he was nominated for an Oscar and a Golden Globe for "The Departed." Standing out (for good reasons) in a cast like that justifies the big name.

All the choices have had great moments and lousy moments. So what's the point?

It's none of those guys, although I can't think of Reeves' last good film.

My vote would go to Owen Wilson. I liked Marley and Me, but he's God-awful at least 4 out of every 5 times.

Josh Hartnett is pretty bad as well. I don't know if he's considered a big enough star to be on this list.

Sorry have to threadjack . . . The hate for Kevin Costner shocks me. The guy is amazing in just about every role. I understand some of his movies might be not everyone's cup of tea, but it's normally the story or plot line that ruin it - not the acting. Of course this is coming from someone who absolutely loved Waterworld and The Postman.

Maybe no one considers him a big name, but Ben Affleck is terrible.

Even though I'm sure it's not intentional, Cage makes some great bad movies.

Wahlberg is a very good actor, IMO.

Costner has too many great films to be on this list... So does Keanu for that matter...

Affleck has had so few parts in the last five years, I don't know if he can be on this list. He was actually very good in the Superman bio pic. I don't remember the title.

Shia LeBeouf (Sp?) is another one I would nominate...

If we want the worst of the A-list, I think Owen Wilson and LaBeouf would be right there.

I never understood the backlash against Costner - I think he was shoe-horned into roles that didn't work for him, and been perfectly cast in successful movies that didn't require much range, but I agree I don't know if he's every completely lost himself in a role. A Perfect World is an underrated movie.
Really enjoyed Cruise in Magnolia. Agree on LaBeouf - don't understand the heat. He's no Joseph Gordon-Leavitt.

Keanu was fantastic as the abusive redneck in The Gift. He stood out in a great cast.
