    One of the latest from a guy who routinely writes terribly overwritten ledes:
    "Oh, Micki.

    Oh, Micki, you’re so fine, you’re sublime in overtime."

    This guy loves to give high school games a larger importance and they are usually terrible.

    At the Super Bowl in 1986, the Bears whipped New England. It was the year of the Super Bowl Shuffle. A writer for a certain paper decided it would be cute to write his story in Super Bowl Shuffle mode.

    They are the Bears, bad and bold.
    They whipped New England in the Super Bowl.

    And that shit ran all the way to the jump. Editors were pretty red-faced at that one.
