The Buffalo Bills and Trailblazers logos are definitely outdated. Very '70s.

And I just new Toronto would end up regretting the Raptors. For such a diverse city full of culture why they couldn't find something better than a movie character is beyond me.

Nothing wrong with Buffalo's logo. In fact, if they do change it, Rich Stadium (errr, the Ralph) will probably be burned to the ground. The uniforms are the problem for the Bills, not the logo.

Thing is, that Bills logo isn't the original. They were an update from the original standing buffalo the Bills used until the 1970s. And the flying buffalo with the spear coming out of it is very 70s.

I think the Bills used white helmets until 1984 or 85, when they switched to red. Those uniforms, though, are hideous.

I know this. Didn't think I needed to put in a disclaimer stating the current logo wasn't the original...

It's just a lot of fans like myself grew up with this as the logo and would hate to see it go. All of us love the throwbacks the Bills use twice a year.

I'm confused. Is that in reference to this logo?

Because I always thought that was a red cape, flying back from the horn of a charging bull as if it had been torn from a matador's hand.

The guys at askmen are apparently just as confused: "....a blue buffalo with red shooting from its horns."

Among the ones no longer in use, it is right up there with the Hartford Whalers and New York Cosmos.

Best logos that don't exist anymore....

The gold standard. The Hurricanes should simply re-claim it. The mismatch would still be an improvement.

Love a great double entendre. The moron in charge took something fun and smart and eradicated it.

The hiking minuteman. I actually don't mind the new logo as much as I hated the ditching of the threads. The Bears debacle was a death sentence for this classic.

Pele.... Chinaglia... Beckenbauer... Birkenmeier... Neeskens.... I had season tickets to the Strikers. When these guys came to town, Lockhart Stadium was every bit as charged up as the Orange Bowl would be for a night Dolphins game.

More a protest against the lazy piece of garbage they replaced it with. Loved it when Alex English, Fat Lever and Bill Hanzlik would roll into town.

The "q" cleaving the soccer ball with a serpentine descender. NASL could have had the Strikers and Rowdies on this list, too. That league, for about a decade, really got it.

I hate the proliferation of the black uniform. And this is among the worst evolutions. Give me the Gritz-Blitz red-gray-black threads any day.

I have to say, I didn't realize so many pro teams used to employ the famed red x on a white background for their logo.....learn something new every day!

See, i'm a diehard Rockets fan and love their current look. It isn't clean and overbearing, IMO. Also remember that the team is coming off those hellish days when the cartoon was their logo :|.

As far as the article, I like Dallas', Memphis' and Tennessee's logos. I also like the Rays', it looks pretty clean.

I also think Portland's is okay as well. Come to think about it, I disagree with half of the list.

That was a very phallic cartoon. With a mouth on it! God those Rocket unis were disgustingly ugly. I like the old school ones from the 80s. Should have stuck with them.
