CM Punk and AEW is going to be a humdinger when it’s all said and done.

Punk and WWE already was a humdinger. He’s going to double-humdinger.

That was stunning, but I don't think there was any bitterness on either side. Manning, at least publicly, seemed to get the business side of it (not only the money/injury factor, but the Colts having the No. 1 pick and a chance to pick another can't miss franchise QB), and the Colts were gracious. IIRC, the day they cut Manning they said they planned to retire his number as soon as he retired.

The Favre-Packers split was much more contentious.

    Jerry West and the Lakers.

Even though he was a GM by then, and no longer a player, I remember being shocked: What!? Jerry West was leaving the Lakers? And going to the Grizzlies?!

Gretzky and the Oilers, which was the first 30 for 30.

Ugh, the last four years of Favre-Packers was nauseating. All the play-or-retire drama. He was a drama queen before a welfare queen.

Yeah, if there was any animosity between Manning-Colts it wasn’t public. And there was a real concern if he could play after missing a year with neck surgery.

Worked out pretty well for all. And Manning will never pay for his own drink in Indy or Denver.

    The A’s and Oakland.

This one is going to sting Oakland fans for a long time. The owner just couldn’t give less of a shit about the team and had just been stringing everyone along to get what he wants: A stadium build not (completely) by him in Vegas. He’s giving the biggest middle finger to the city and fans. He’s cheaping out on everything.

This is just a mockery of the sport at this point.
