Would a straight man be caught dead dressed like this?

Pulitzer Prize winner Robin Givhan weighed in on this yesterday:

That was a waste of time.

 

It looks like W was either going to exercise (run or ride his bike) or had just returned, and the Crocs were his in-between shoes so that the car and the White House carpets don't get dirty.

 

Everybody on my staff except the outdoors guy and me seem to wear them. I never got that.

 

I wonder if a guy wore that on a golf course, what the reaction would be (I know he would get kicked out)

 

He wouldn't be kicked off the golf courses I play.

 

Can't stand to look at them. Refuse to even try them on. I have banned my wife from buying them. And, I told my mom how disappointed I was in her when she bought them. Comfy or not, they look ree-goddam-diculous. There is nothing fashionable about the way those look — at any time of the day, anywhere on earth (garden included).

 

Wear them for a day.

Heaven on your feet.

 

What type of courses do you play in? ??? This should be interesting. ;D
