Have you tried on a pair? Maybe you don't have back problems so they wouldn't work the same magic. My son's first reaction was that they were hideous. Then he tried some on. "Hideous or not, I'm buying them," he said.

It's true. That said, I bought a pair of the Crocs flipflops and they are awesome. Not horrendously ugly but definitely comfortable.

I like the way they mould to your feet.

Those big, floppy sandal things are all over the ballpark and people look ridiculous in them.
