My favorite part when I worked from home was lunch. Eat a small lunch, take a half hour nap.

I have the perfect house for me. In my area, they no longer build 1300 SF houses ideal for a girl and her two cats. It's more 2500 SF houses for people with 2.5 kids. It's a beautiful 20-minute drive through horse country and a state park to my office. I have a home office for when they tell me to work from home. If I had to do it all over again, I would buy this house.

I’ve found myself working more and more lately at the local library or the coffee shop. I find that I get too lazy (nap) at home. I still get the work done at the house, but I feel much more accomplished outside.

I'm with you on that. My house truly gives me peace at the center, as the Quakers call it. Just wish I had a flux capacitor to go back and make a few adjustments.

As long as I make 3 deadlines per week, I'm good and I can work any and all hours. Sometimes my side hustle makes it tough, but at least I can plan ahead.

I had a hybrid situation prior to Covid, as I was home twice a week. We have a good neighborhood, with a lot of kids and a good school district. Being in the Northeast, we have four seasons and the town has good resources. There may be better places, or you can find a larger home or a place with more land, but then that becomes expensive. We're here at least for the foreseeable future.
