    Az,

Nothing about your answer makes sense. I'm not saying you're wrong. I'm just saying I don't understand your answer.

    Boom deleted a post.

My point was that Simmons' book sales indicate that people read his column. Not that people read the book once they buy it.

    STFU, assclown.

    :D

Anyhoo, if a writer's personality and presence is truly thought to be more important than his content, or is thought to be his content, then the Internet has cost our society more than hundreds of thousands of jobs.

    Az,

I think that was directed at me.

To truly connect with today's busy readers, all stories should be 140 characters or less.

I was actually directing it at those who think the medium that brought us roflmao and Ceiling Cat should shape our concept of good writing. And nm, what the hell's wrong with "readers"?

Writing has been a cult of personality for ages, dooley. Maybe forever. You know as well as I do that once a writer establishes his/her name, they can write dreck for years and people will eat it up. I'm not sure content has ever occupied the esteemed space you believe it should.

Nothing's wrong with them. I love readers. They are the reason I have a job. Simply a poorly structured commentary on fluff's 140 characters post
