I would watch soccer every day and twice on Sundays if it lead to Jim Rome getting his ass kicked.
Although, someone please explain to my why everytime I stop on premiership soccer, it's the same damn game: Tottenham vs. Reading? It's on again today!

Truth be told, while I really don't get a thrill out of soccer, I do love watching all of those English stadiums... it's like each one is Fenway or Wrigley.

Funny, not only don't recall mentioning your name or addressing you, but I also don't recall needing your permission to post.
But, by the looks of things on this thread, you're doing well enough on your own. You just keep talking soccer...

But it's a business model that is not set up for big time payoffs, since it takes no big-time risks. It's a 13-hand game of solitaire.

Oh please. That post wasn't intended for me? You don't seem to understand. If you come after me, I'm coming after you. I let you talk about me for a while but I'm not going to let it happen anymore. You had your fun but now it's time to stfu.

Why take big time risks when you could implode the whole thing. The NASL took big time risks, and failed. MLS is building without making risky moves and growing every year. What's wrong with that? The big time payoff comes further down the line when the time is right. Steady growth is fine for now.

But how far along is MLS going to be in 10 or 20 years. I dont think it's going to explode.
I think the growth will come from places like the USL and PDL... more regional, but local ties and allegiances...

Well, if they just want to be a niche, GB, they're doing it right. If they have higher aspirations, you just won't build that on 20,000-seat stadiums with one-star teams.
