Perhaps. But the websites (yahoo, Sportsline, fox) aren't taking from one another ... they're going to newspapers. And so are magazines/ESPN. It's a great time to be a talented newspaper writer.

 

And when the washout comes, several will be going back to newspapers.

As much as I (and, apparently, the rest of us) had the WWL, ESPN.com is pretty damn strong. It's gonna take some time for Yahoo to catch up.

 

Yeah, we just updated the post. Surprisingly, Politi passed on Yahoo.

 

There's no guarantee either way. Maybe there's a washout ... maybe there isn't.

 

Why is that surprising, you little asshole? Maybe the situation wasn't right for Steve to go. Steve is a good person and journalist, and the Star-Ledger isn't exactly a small operation that is about to go under.

I thought it was bad enough to be considered a jock-sniffer. Now we have sniffers of sportswriters' Jockey shorts, or whatever sportswriters wear.
